What’s a naturopathic doctor (ND)?
Naturopathic Medicine combines modern medicine with evidence-based treatments such as nutrition, lifestyle counseling, physical therapy, acupuncture and botanical medicine. Naturopathic doctors have a minimum of seven years of post-secondary education and are the only primary care providers trained in natural therapeutics. Naturopathic Doctors treat a wide range of conditions alone or in conjunction with other health care practitioners. Naturopathic Doctors are a regulated health profession in the province of Ontario. Dr. Lawson is the only licensed Naturopathic Doctors in Quinte West.
Naturopathic Doctors care about you and your health. They take the time to conduct a detailed intake that examines all areas of your health, which not only includes your main health concerns, but your diet, stress levels, and lifestyle. Naturopathic doctors can also perform physical exams and order screening bloodwork and various testing.
I have a skin condition not listed on your website, can you help?
Give us a call and inquire! We treat many skin conditions through our inner and outer wellness branch at Renew.
I’ve had phototherapy at spas, how do your treatments differ?
Spa grade light therapies do not deliver the same punch as medical grade light therapies since they do not penetrate the skin at a deep level. Although safe, the results tend not to be as dramatic or last as long as stronger, professional medical systems. We have treated many spa clients that are thrilled with the difference that medical technology can offer.
Do you remove moles, warts or skin tags?
No, we don’t provide any treatments that involve minor surgery or cryotherapy. Contact your family doctor to arrange for a dermatologist referral.
Do you treat varicose veins?
We only treat veins that are cosmetic in nature-spider veins and reticular veins. For varicose vein treatments, contact your family doctor to arrange a referral to a vascular surgeon.
Can I come to Renew for a second opinion?
Yes, many individuals have trusted Renew for second opinions when it comes to their skin. Skin treatments can be costly and Renew offers many affordable options for a variety of concerns. Also, we will not recommend treatment if we feel that you aren’t a good candidate for it.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

Do you treat men?
Yes, Renew offers services for both men and women.
